Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre celebrates 125th year anniverary

14 December 2015

We've teamed up with one of the county's leading charities, the Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre, to help them with a major year of fundraising and celebration to mark their 125th year anniversary.

As well as writing all the text for their brand new website and driving their Facebook andTwitter feeds, we are ensuring that the Buttercup Appeal 2016 gets plenty of exposure locally.

DCHC provides a week-long break at its specialist centre for children from across Derbyshire who are experiencing difficulties in their homes lives. Whilst the charity raises £250,000 a year, it wants to increase the numbers of holidays it can offer from 450 per year to 700.

The Derby Telegraph has already run a series of articles and we have some big plans, including the recreation of a steam train ride from Derby to Skegness, which is the way the children used to travel, and a Grand Ball, which last year raised £47,000.
